Create a Rule Using the Basic Editor

1. Open the ruleset with which the rule will be associated.
   

2. Click Create Rule.
   
   The rules editor displays.

3. Fill in the rule's metadata on the right side of the page.
   

4. Select a field to use in the rule's expression.
   

5. Select an operator to use in the expression.

   Note: The values available in the list of operators will vary depending on the field you selected in the previous step.

   
   

6. In the Compare to field, select either Field or Value to indicate whether the selected field will be compared with another field or a specific value.
   

7. Take one of the following options:

   • If you selected Field in the previous step, select a field with which to compare the field selected previously.

   • If you selected Value in the previous step, enter a value with which to compare the field.

   

8. To add another expression to the rule, select either And or Or and then set up the expression as you did in the previous steps. Repeat this as many times as needed.

9. Click Save.
